We are a small family business, working out of the quirky Old Dairy at St Fort Farm, Newport-on-Tay and are starting our Fife Pasta revolution by bringing quick and easy locally inspired fresh pasta to Fife. We pride ourselves in sourcing exceptional Fife produce and ingredients to fill our pasta. Collaboration lies at the heart of what we do. We love being the conduit to showcase the incredible produce that Fife has to offer. With more options coming to the menu in the future, we hope to be able to provide everyone with quick, easy, high quality pasta. We love to give suggestions for sauces to pair with the pasta and love to see what our customers make with our pasta!

The story of The Fife Pasta Company started 6 years ago when Jules was on a mission to learn as many basic scratch cooked essentials as possible, to cut out ultra processed food from the supermarket for the meals her family loved. The goal was to collect the skillset to allow herself to be self-sustainable with regards to all the staple foods, if it was ever needed.

After getting her first pasta machine and hours of cooking, everything clicked, she had unlocked the secret to super quick dinners, that were scratch cooked and delicious. She loved and still does, to experiment with different kinds of flavours and colours for her pasta. She would batch make the pasta and freeze immediately, cooking it directly from frozen. As a family we came to rely on a freezer filled with pasta to fill the gaps for dinner when we really didn't have much time and wanted to bring that convenient, artisanal pasta back home to Fife where she was born and raised.

She decided she would sell her pasta from her cottage kitchen, but then a new addition to the family arrived, Maisie. Unfortunately, Jules realised that its hard to create a safe food environment when you've got a golden retriever. The dream suddenly seemed so far away, until one conversation changed everything and the answer was only a few minutes walk away: The Old Dairy, St Fort Farm was just waiting for us. A few months later the company was born and we were on our way.

When it comes to our fillings, local is our priority, where possible. We celebrate the best of Fife produce for our pasta fillings. But when it comes to the pasta itself? The texture and the 'snap' really do depend entirely on the flour. Collaboration lies at the heart of what we do. We love being the conduit to showcase the incredible produce that Fife has to offer.

Built in 1891, once known as the St Fort Dairy or Creamery, these walls were built on the concept of taking what the land provides and crafting something fresh for the estate community. The creamery supplied milk, butter and cream to the family in St. Fort House and to all the other families on the estate. It was in operation until the 1940’s.
